Hi Guys, I signed up to these forums not too long ago, when my seborrhoeic dermatitis and slight Rosacea was at it's worst. I've recently become clean of all the symptoms and my face is finally back to normal after a year. I mainly wanted to post this in case it could help any of the forums readers in the future, because it's such a horrible thing to have. Around a year ago I went to the doctor due to my mild acne and I started on Lymecycline / Tetralysal, around the same time for this my seborrhoea dermatitis started, mainly the skin on the sides of my nose and eye brows at this point would be constantly inflamed / flaky. With regards to the seborrheic dermatitis I was given 1% hydrocortisone cream which did nothing. I continued to suffer with it gradually getting worse, I was going through all of Boots and the Body shops creams trying to find something that would help, the only thing that slightly helped was coconut butter from the bodyshop due to it's grease which didn't make the flakes obvious. The seborrheic dermatitis grew on my face, it was now completely on my T zone of my face and all on my chin and above my lips. Everyday the skin would constantly become inflamed and flake off!. I tried washing my face with head & shoulders and Nizoral face cream which didn't help. It started taking multi vits and cod liver oil as well which didn't the villages help. A few times the seborrheic dermatitis inflamed and my skin was so red and saw that the doctor said it was rosacea and I was given Rosex which again did nothing. The magic cure happened at an off chance, I was referred to specialist from my doctor, but there was a 3 month wait. My doctor gaveme some Nizoral 2% cream just as it was another thing to try which did the magic. So it turns out it was down to some sort of fungal infection on my face!. My face is now back to normal and I'm still on the Lymecycline / Tetralysal which keeps back any acne.
